The chili sauce I referred to in the recipe comes in a bottle like ketchup and information technology'southward chosen "Chili Sauce." It's a really tasty sauce, not as tomato-ey as ketchup with lots of spices in it. It is non hot at all! Sorry nigh the misunderstanding or my not identifying it conspicuously enough.

I followed the recipe and these are so skilful. Easy to put together and tasted delicious. I cooked on low for 10 hours which was a bit too long. I would do 8 hours maximum for my boring cooker. The sauce was really good and next time I'll serve them with something I can use the extra sauce on. UPDATE: I wanted to brand this and I was sure I had both chili sauce and french onion soup but I had neither and I really wanted this dish so I fabricated my own. This is how I made the chili sauce. 1 cup tomato sauce 1/iv cup nighttime brown carbohydrate 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 1/4 teaspoon allspice one teaspoon red pepper flakes and for the french onion soup I used x oz of beef broth and mixed in a couple tbsp dried minced onion and one tbsp worcestershire sauce. When it was all cooked I thickened the sauce with 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed in two tbsp h2o. This sauce was but as good equally the bought chili sauce and soup. I would do this over again.

This is very good and very easy. Short ribs are e'er very greasy, so I practice recommend cooking information technology early, refrigerating, and skimming the fat. I used this every bit the meat in a taco which I topped with some coleslaw. It was very adept. I saved the "gravy" last night forth with the leftover meat. Today (after removing the fat from the gravy), I added some vegetables to the meat, sprinkled it with flour for thickening, stirred the gravy in, topped information technology with a pie crust and made a fantastic meat pie. This is a very good and versatile recipe.

My goodness! These were delicious, piece of cake, and foolproof! It's not ofttimes you lot can go away with so few ingredients and then little work and have it turn out THIS great. Thanks for the fantastic recipe. I made it exactly as written. I'll be watching for sales on short ribs from at present on, you can bet.

I was not impressed. Not with all the five star reviews. I added adobo and sazon to it because information technology had no flavor. Meet was tender. But besides that, not impress at all.
04/21/2019
This was very easy to make. I had forgotten to become French onion soup and so I made do with the herbs that I already had in my pantry. Yep it still turned out succulent!

I wish the recipe contributor would specify what she ways when calling for 'chili sauce.' Since nosotros didn't have any on hand, I thought I might use Chinese restaurant packets of "chili sauce." LOL! I squeezed i packet just and stopped, because I tasted a drop of information technology and my mouth was burning like mad! Certainly the Panda Express type of chili sauce wouldn't exist correct for this recipe. I couldn't imagine dumping 12 oz of THAT on this dish, EVER. LOL! I followed the recipe, just added half an envelope of dry onion soup mix, in addition to the canned. Also, added minced garlic, and about 1c. beef broth in order to cover the meat. I don't eat ribs; I made them for my husband and he said they were excellent with some bbq sauce added at the table. Will use this recipe if I let him have ribs again. I cried when I saw the ugly difficult grease that cooled and covered everything --- this is bad for anyone with cholesterol problems. All in all I give this recipe a thumbs up!

delicious and so piece of cake. I followed to recipe exactly. I loved that information technology had Chili sauce instead of ketchup.

Fabricated this just as described and it was wonderful---my 17 year old son said it was the best meal he had eaten in a long time. (we paired it with some pretty special mashed potatoes). I idea these few ingredients would not be enough to requite a large boost of flavor but I was wrong. Loved information technology and making again adjacent week for visitor.

The ribs were perfect at 8 hours simply the sauce was just so-so. Too sweet for my gustatory modality anyway. Thanks for the recipe:-)

No changes.. was and then simple
12/22/2018
Very simple and piece of cake recipe. The only change I made was to brown the ribs in a pan with table salt, pepper, garlic pulverization, and olive oil before adding them to the crockpot. Then it'due south simply a matter of leaving them to cook in the pot for vi hours or and then, turning every in one case in a while, and shredding with a fork at the end.

This was soooooo proficient! I didn't accept rosemary and so I added Penzey's beef roast spices and also added some mushrooms. Will definitely make this once more!

I didn't make any changes and these ribs were succulent! However, these beef ribs are a lot fattier than pork ribs then I boiled them for an hour, which was probably not long enough. Then I put them in the oven at 350 for 3 1/2 hours but they were still really fatty. They tasted really skilful just I probably won't brand them once more considering of the fatty.
09/07/2017
I thought this would be pretty expert but I actually didn't anticipate how good this would be! Go heavy on the rosemary and go for ten hours. You lot'll love it!
12/28/2017
The sauce was delicious, but if I fabricated it once again I'd use boneless ribs.
03/20/2017
This is a fantastic recipe. I had some boneless brusk ribs and needed to melt them that twenty-four hours with ingredients on hand, it could not have been easier, and tasted incredible!
04/09/2018
What a bully and piece of cake recipe to follow. Short ribs came out fork tender and delicious. Gravy had a mild barbecue sense of taste and was skilful over mashed potatoes. Follow this recipe to the letter except watch time you cook in the slow cooker as mine were done in nigh half dozen hours. Thanks over again for a groovy recipe that I know I'll fall back on fourth dimension and again!

01/02/2015
Yummy and super easy!
11/20/2018
Nifty! I used a chuck roast instead of brusk ribs since the ribs were pretty expensive. I seasoned the meat with S&P and garlic and browned the roast in olive oil earlier I put it in the crockpot So piece of cake! Volition make information technology again

Made this for dinner with friends. Rave reviews! I couldn't believe how quick and like shooting fish in a barrel information technology is to make. Even so, there was alot of fat floating on summit, but I skimmed most of it off prior to serving. If I have time next time, I might parboil the ribs for 30 minutes or and then to cut downwardly on the fat.

Loved this! Made it as is. Wouldn't change a thing. I will brand information technology again.

Outset time I fabricated this it was crawly. The second time I left out the Rosemary (too lazy to go to store)and think I cooked information technology way too long. It was dry and tough. Stick to the recipe and you volition love this one.

Groovy flavor and very tender!

Give thanks you so very much for posting this recipe. Information technology was DELICIOUS. The sauce is incredible and has merely iii ingredients. I will be using the sauce on a regular footing with dull cooked chicken equally well. I, like a lot of the people who commented, used information technology on my mashed potatoes and broccoli every bit well.

I had some brusque ribs in the freezer that I needed to use and was looking looking for a simple recipe. This was both simple and delicious- will definitely get in again. The only change I made was to use dry onion soup mix, to which I added ten ounces of h2o.

I made this and it turned out great. I did add together more veggies. Very delicious!!!

Prissy, and easy Ribs in the slow cooker tin't go wrong. Watch what you do with the chilli sauce. I used a Thai sweet chilli, hmm. But then and again my married woman and I prefer some estrus.
